Gin-etc.co.uk is an e-commerce website created for a small team of gin enthusiasts. They needed a website to promote and sell their gin making kits. The project included creating the website; in this case, we went with Shopify. We also had to plan out building a subscribers base and providing the team with a solution for sending regular newsletter updates. We have chosen MailChimp, an excellent choice for a campaign management tool.
Who AM I?
My name is Marta, and I have been through a lot. A lot of experience that is. I entered the IT industry in 2012, before that I was a marketing specialist. In 2012 I became a project manager in a small agency in my hometown. In 2013 I was promoted to studio manager, and in the next year, I became a hybrid between Director of Operations, HR department, Project Manager, Business Analyst and a QA Specialist.
As I said, I have been through a lot, working long hours giving the clients and my company 150%. That's not sustainable for the long term so to develop new skills I have signed up for a two year MBA course provided by Franklin University in Ohio, US. This was one of the best decisions in my career. It allowed me to meet incredible people who, by sharing their stories and case studies, taught me how to be a better manager. On top of that, going through MBA course gave me a strong foundation of the business environment.
